We aim to advance new nano/biomaterials-based platform technologies (e.g., functional coatings, therapeutic nanomaterials, biosensors) for various biomedical applications, with the ultimate intention to improve patient outcomes. We integrate the core concepts in chemical engineering, materials science, and AI/data science, to arrive at innovative engineering solutions to significant health problems, including cancer and infectious disease. Our ultimate goal is for clinical translation of these new technologies to transform the current standard of care for cancer and infectious diseases.
